I am thrilled to share that I have officially been awarded my Ph.D. in Bharathanatyam. Balancing the stage and the archives has been a rewarding journey. As Kalai Valarmani Dr. Vajra Balaji, my mission remains the same: to explore the depths of Indian classical dance through both practice and profound research.

I am deeply humbled to be a recipient of the Kalai Valarmani Award, conferred by the Department of Art and Culture (Kalai Panpattu Thurai), Government of Tamil Nadu. This prestigious state honor recognizes my dedication to Bharathanatyam and encourages my journey as an artist. I remain ever grateful to the Government for this recognition and to my gurus for shaping my path.

In just six classes, Camila, with no prior experience in this classical dance form, was able to learn and perform a challenging Thillana on stage. Her journey is a testament to our teaching method's effectiveness and her incredible hard work.
